For a long period of my artistic life, I have been drawn to reinterpreting flowers, and especially Poppies and their expansive Poppy fields. Here is a series of paintings I have done on the subject of the poppy field.
This triptych portrays three views of a towering lighthouse as a storm comes to shore. The lighthouse attempts to warn those out at sea, as a young man spots a fisherman in the bay who is about to discover something incredible in his day's catch. Each painting contains iconography, it is up to the viewer to decide which of the three titles belongs to each of the three paintings, there is no wrong answer.
